But today was noticing that on my latest project, the center speaker was completely silent, with the audio (singing in this case) being sent to the Front Speakers (which were supposed to just have orchestra).

I had thought by creating a 5.1 mix in Audition, sending it back to Premiere Pro and making sure all the channels are going to the proper 'sound field,' when I exported using h.264 Bluray I was getting a true Dolby Digital 5.1. I had thought that the new version of Adobe Media Encoder was encoding Dolby 5.1 for importing into Encore, but based on what I've been reading lately (and experiencing) it seems that it doesn't - or if it does it's not doing it properly without purchasing SurCode (and thus I should either bite the bullet and purchase that, or use Final Cut Pro's Compressor, which still is doing a great job). Is everyone still using Encore or is there yet another option out there that gives as much flexability in creating paths and navigation the way that Encore does? It still says Project 1 (and if the folder path is long, you can't even see the iso name unless you click in the field and scroll all the way to the right). If I have Project 1 and I have it create a DVD image and give it a folder and file name of Project1.iso and then open another project, Project 2, it does not chnage the ISO name saved when I closed Project 2. One of the things I was hoping they would fix was the output for DVD images does not change from project to project.

I know that those that don't have it can install it, however I'm not sure why Adobe dropped it as in the Mac world I don't know of a DVD authoring software package that does what Encore does. With the new CC suite, I'm not sure I understand why this product is being "dropped". I've used Adobe for 2 years now and love what Encore allows me to do in DVD authoring. Any help will be greatly appreciated, and I will report on how the Dynamic Link copy looks. I would like to do it with Encore where I can learn to make more custom menus. What's interesting is I used the program ConvertXtoDVD and came out with a nice looking end product, but I did not care for the templates and did it with no menu.

I am pretty sure I left it at default and didn't change any settings, so we shall see how it comes out, but is there any rule of thumb getting DSLR HD footage down to SD? I have been reading the forums and that's where I got the dynamic link idea.

I am now attempting a third disc, this time using Adobe Dynamic Link. I did 2 versions, playing with the settings and still ended up with less than stellar quality.

So, what can I do to make my video have a high quality? I exported an MP4 h264 video as the final output and used that to make the DVD.

It's just under 26 minutes long, the quality is very so-so, not at all crisp, and really my real test is to see how the text looks. Well, it worked, but the quality was not so good. The footage was from a Canon T2i (or 550D as it is known as well) at 1920 x1080 and I wanted to burn standard DVDs.

Threw up a template, linked the main movie to a button and set it to return to menu when it was done. After looking at a basic tutorial I took a stab. So yes, I am a newbie when it comes to DVD Authoring but I need to get my feet wet with it.
